The Disney Cotino Development in Rancho Mirage, CA is a first-of-its-kind Storyliving by Disney community, designed to combine residential living, recreational amenities, and immersive storytelling. Penta Construction served as the general contractor, and Westcon Construction was awarded critical scopes of structural and site concrete work, including flatwork, foundations, hardscapes, and specialty concrete features.
This high-profile project required precision, craftsmanship, and adherence to strict Disney/DMB Development standards. Westcon contributed to creating durable, functional, and visually striking infrastructure that complements the development's luxury resort-style amenities.
Scope of Work
Westcon's responsibilities on the Cotino Development included:
- Structural Concrete Foundations for community amenity structures.
- Flatwork & Hardscape including pedestrian walkways, patios, pool decks, and gathering areas.
- Decorative Concrete Elements integrated into high-visibility areas adjacent to water features.
- Site Development Support including grading, formwork, and specialty pours coordinated with landscaping and amenity installation.
The service agreement scope also included Parkview Substation Foundations, requiring three (3) PT support pier foundations with anchor bolts, testing, and reporting.
